Kings Acquire Guard Jermaine Taylor From Houston Rockets

Talk about good timing. The Kings can save $39.95 on a Southwest flight and just have Taylor walk from one locker room to the next since they’re in Houston this evening.

In exchange for the Rockets guard, the Kings will send a future second round pick to Houston which may or may not ever be granted to them. It’s one of those mysterious draft picks that always end up back in your possession about 23 years later. Sorta like finding that old cheeto under your chair. It’s a pleasant surprise.

Taylor, a graduate of UCF, not to be confused with the University of California Fuck (enrollment is BOOMING), put up an impressive 26 points per game as a senior in 2008-2009.

Tito Jackson Jermaine  is averaging 5 points a game in 9 minutes this season.

As to the move, eh – why not? It’s a low risk move and Rocket fans seemed to embrace the kid. The Kings have continually proven themselves with low budget/low risk guards in the past, so, it’s hard to find any fault. Chances are, it’ll be nothing more than a lateral move down the road, but it’s worth the risk.
