Kings Shopping Jason Thompson - Cousins Fined By Kings

When it rains, it pour…eh, it fucking hails.

As if the Kings current losing streak and lethargic play wasn’t enough to damper your early season spirit, ESPN is now reporting that….

A) Jason Thompson is being shopped by the Kings. And while they make no mention of potential suitors, RealGM has made mention of several interested clubs but that appears to be speculation only as the clubs named were simply teams in need of size.

In addition to the Thompson trade news….

B) The Kings reportedly fined DeMarcus Cousins for clashing with members of the coaching staff and according to Marc Stein, this wasn’t the first time.

So, I sit here, alone in my dark S&M dungeon *whips blowup doll*, contemplating the validity of Stein’s “sources” and “rumors”.

The Jason Thompson trade news really isn’t that difficult to believe, and frankly, it’s hard not to expect. He really doesn’t have a space on this roster and the Kings need some help on the wing. Why not open the phone?

But let’s say for a second that Stein’s report on Cousins is correct. If Cousins really has been as big a handful as he leads one to believe (or his source says), what exactly are the Kings doing shopping Thompson?

I’m not saying Stein is making shit up nor am I saying his source is wrong. But one really shouldn’t lead to the other and ESPN has turned more into a gossip website than factual sports reporting. I mean, really….you couldn’t see the “Cousins brings bombs to practice, steals babies, and cut’s off Tyreke’s arm” headline in the making at some point?

The Kings are an easy target to pick on right now, especially Cousins, and it’s not unprecedented for ESPN writers and their “sources” to create some crafty witch-hunt to make a deadline. No need to panic until something legit leaks.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to return to my day job.

*clears throat*
