Okay, so not technically, but one might think so if they stumbled upon the annual NBA GM ranking lists which NBA.com released a short time ago.
If you’re unfamiliar with the annual polling, in short, a survey is sent out to all 30 GM’s across the league who return the results and the NBA compiles them, most likely illegally since they’re so good at that. No GM may vote for their own team or players, which means only the Heat and Lakers are allowed to vote for their own players while everybody else is allowed to shove a popsicle stick up their ass and dance around in a 4×4 foot area making gorilla noises. Erotic, no?
The Kings were void of any “winners” in the polling and frankly were completely shut out of all 60 questions sans about two. Rival GM’s pegged DeMarcus Cousins as the #2 player (John Wall ranked #1) to be the best in five seasons out of the 2010 draft class and Omri Casspi tied Portland’s Nicolas Batum in 2nd place for biggest potential breakout season by a duo or group international player. Jesus, that sounds like a shitty awards show category.
