Kings Blaze Suns In Preseason Opener

You know what’s crap? Having to follow a Sacramento Kings game via a live updating box score. Maybe I’m spoiled, but son of a bitch…I might as well be traveling across the Sierra Nevada’s in a covered wagon, Oregon Trail style.

On the flip side – things that aren’t crap? Well, I’d start with DeMarcus Cousins. DMC dropped a man sized double double on the Suns tonight with 16 points to go along with 16 boards on 8 of 13 from the field. I think it’s safe to say his man card is fully in effect. Star of the night though was Tyreke Evans…as if it could be anybody else. Evans poured in 26 points, including hitting 2 of 3 from beyond the arc and somewhat showed off his improved range, err, so I’m told. As you’re well aware of, this game was played in the dark ages without the benefit of television. I also heard the ball was made of yarn and the baskets were used to harvest peaches about four hours prior to game time, but my sources also might have been high as a kite. You get what you pay for, I guess…

The rest of the crew was very solid, especially Jason Thompson who like Cousins ripped a new one in the Suns interior defense, or, whatever they call that thing they do in the paint. I have a feeling Chuck Daily might jump out of my screen and choke me if I reference what the Suns do as “defense”, so, I’ll just avoid the ass kicking. I’m far too beautiful for that, anyway. Thompson finished the tilt with 17 and 10 on 8 of 13, the same percentages as Cousins….*haunting music plays*….

Final Score:

Kings – 109

Bright, hot thang – 95
