Luther Head Signs With Kings

Per Wojo, and confirmed by other sources such as Sactown Royalty and Kings Forum, former Houston Rockets guard Luther Head has signed a non guarnteed contract with the Sacramento Kings. Head will be nothing more than a camp invite, but, considering his shooting ability – he might break camp with the big boys. Might. Maybe. Slight chance. Like me winning the lotto tonight. Sorta. Ish.

Head is a career 39% shooter from beyond the arc, something they Kings severely lack – an outside shooter, but his game is pretty limited elsewhere. His best season came in 2006-2007 with the Houston Rockets (his second NBA season) when Head averaged 27 minutes a game, putting up 10.9 a game, 2.4 assists, and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 44% from distance. Since then, Head has moved around, playing for three teams in the past three years (Houston, Indiana, New Orleans) and has struggled to get minutes or game action, playing in only 79 games the past three seasons.
