Hold on. If you could just give me a moment here while I stop gagging.
Ahem! Ah! Much better!
So by now, you’ve most likely heard the new rumor of the day, a King-sized return for the best shooter Geoff Petrie has ever seen. That’s right, the one, the only, Quincy Pondexter! Oh, wait. Who? Quincy Douby? Who the hell is that?
The one time King guard who had the best workout ever witnessed to man during his pre-draft initiation with the Kings is back on the radar map for the purple and black. After being waived by the Kings, Douby shacked up with the Toronto Raptors for a grand total of 7 games. In those 7 games, Douby actually played…well, at least shot well, putting up an impressive 55% from the floor and 44% from the arc.
In all honesty, it’s not that awful of a move, if the Kings are in fact interested in their former product. The Kings are in the market for a marksman (hell, they worked out Adam Effin Morrison for Christ sake) and that’s exactly what Douby Doo is.
For a league minimum salary, I guess the Kings could do worse.
