Kings Tried To Enter Lebron James Sweepstakes

I’d heard about this a while back through some late night dreams hearsay, but, local superhero writer Sam Amick confirms the news:

FWIW Kings fans, co-owner Joe Maloof just told me they did indeed try to buy ticket to LeBron-a-palooza.

Kings hoops prez Geoff Petrie called LBJ’s reps at start of free agency. Joe never heard back from Geoff after the call. Self-explanatory.

Real shame he didn’t want to play in Sacramento. I’m pretty sure none of our players would have slept with his mother. And now that Andres Nocioni is gone, I’m pretty sure nobody would’ve slept with his father. [Kelso]BURN!!!!!!!!![/Kelso]

I hate to say this, but this was mostly the Kings not wanting to deal with the fallout of being thought of as a team that didn’t want LeBron.

They knew they would get rejected and wanted to cover their ass.

Smart PR Ploy but nothing more B. Let’s be honest.
