Kings To Share Reno Bighorns With Warriors

The Kings once again will align themselves with the Bighorns of Reno, however, this year they’ll partner with the Golden State Warriors as opposed to the Orlando Magic (last year) and New York Knicks (year prior).

The Warriors have continually found hidden gems on their previous D-League teams. CJ Watson, Azubuike, Anthony Morrow, and Reggie Williams all come to mind – so hopefully the Kings will find their next Mo Evans or Matt Barnes with the Bighorns this year. I’m sure we’ll see a current King or two make the trip to the biggest little city there is at least once this year.

It’s a shame the finances aren’t a little better in the Kingdom – I know the operating costs are a little excessive for the return, but, I’d really like to see the Kings utilize the team as a farm system, if you will. The Lakers and Spurs both own their own D-League franchises (which I think can be extremely beneficial) but I’ve yet to see them properly utilized in that way, which is a shame.
