Per Fanhouse’s (and one time Kings beat writer) Sam Amick. I’m certainly in favor of Cousins over Monroe – simply because I think the upside is much greater with Cousins and I prefer Cousins style over Monroe’s, but, it’s hard to guess against Petrie when it comes to scouting players in the draft.
I’m also thinking Monroe will not be there at #7 (thinking the Warriors will take him at #6), so, that potential swap with Detroit earlier rumored seems out of play.
Barring a trade in which the Kings make out considerably, I’d have to think, actually, more hope that Cousins is a King come June 24th.
