Timberwolves To Pass On DeMarcus Cousins?

If you’re hoping the Sacramento Kings will have an opportunity to select Kentucky center DeMarcus Cousins in the NBA Draft, your day just got a lot better. According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress, the Minnesota Timberwolves have decided that they will not extend an invite to Cousins for a workout.

I’d make an attempt to explain the nonsense that this is, but, there are things in life that are just left better unanswered. It just makes me glad I’m not a Timberwolves fan. The decisions the Wolves front office continually decides upon makes my head bleed.

Even if they’re as enamored with Wesley Johnson as it’s been rumored, and despite their lack of need for Cousins, there is pretty much zero reason for them to not extend an invite. Who knows – maybe they fall in love with him? He is after all considered a potential franchise big man if things go right. At worst, nothing comes of it and you put fear into teams picking behind you – forcing them to think of trading up, not knowing if you’ll select Cousins or not. By not extending an invite, me and you, your momma and your cousin too, know you’re not picking him…which makes life just that much easier come draft day for opposing GM’s.

*taps fingers*

If only Cousins was a point guard, amirite!?
