According to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento Kings will workout uber-prospects Derrick Favors and DeMarcus Cousins tomorrow afternoon. Both players are considered the premier prospects at their respective positions, despite both being only freshmen.
It’s expected that Favors will go to the New Jersey Nets with the third pick but Cousins quite possibly could be available for the Kings assuming the Minnesota Timberwolves attempt to fill out their small forward need with Syracuse’s Wesley Johnson.
It was first rumored that Cousins and Favors would face off against each other, however, that planned has been nixed thanks to their agents. Can’t lower that draft stock baby!
The workout will also be off limits to media members other than for interviews, so, if you’re hoping to see the workout – I suggest you fire up NBA 2k10 and get to bidness.
Hopefully Cousins impresses the Kings enough not only with his game but his questionable attitude, as he’s my number one obtainable prospect for the Kings.
