Wolves Breaking 16 Game Losing Streak Playing Kings

Maybe They Can Use This?

Ugh.

Just ugh.

The Kings went into this five game road trip with two very difficult games (Cleveland and Boston) and three “winnable” games against teams with worse or similar records (New Jersey, Minnesota, and Indiana). They return home winless on the trip.

In reality, it’s not that horrible – the Kings, going into the lotto look to be a lock on the 5th or 6th position and this road trip did nothing but further solidify that. However, losing to the Nets and Timberwolves is….not good, to say the least.

The loss to the Nets was awful on so many levels, mostly, desire. They looked bored…and uninterested. Last night, much of the same until late in the fourth quarter when they went on a large run and got to within 5 points, but, it was far too late then.

Switch back to the Boston and Cleveland game – they played decent in both contests and weren’t out of the game into the final couple minutes, yet, they couldn’t get up for the Nets and Wolves. I guess that’s expected of the least experienced team in the NBA…but it doesn’t change the feeling of wanting to jab two steak knifes through my eyes after watching those performances.

The Kings return home for the next 5 games and will end the season on the road versus the Lakers. All but one of the games are against +.500 teams, so, look for a painful end to the season.
