Hilton Armstrong Is Now A Sacramento King

This was to be expected – not so much Hilton himself, but, the writing had been on the wall for a few weeks now. The Kings all but said they’d take a backup big man for a 2nd round pick and ding ding – we have a winner.

Hilton Armstrong is now on his way to Sacramento according to Wojo of Yahoo Sports. Armstrong is on the books for 2.8 million dollars this season and has a qualifying offer of about 3.8 next season which the Kings will most likely decline.

Many might remember Armstrong as a low lotto pick (12th overall) by the Hornets in 2006 who had a pretty solid college career at UConn but he’s struggled to find his way in the NBA.

He’s bit, athletic, and smart as a rock. So, we’ll see…
