Sacramento Kings Extend Geoff Petrie

Good news – well, I guess depending on who you ask.

The Kings announced that they have agreed to terms on a 3 year contract extension with current General Manager Geoff Petrie, a move that will keep the Kings braintrust in Sacramento through the 2013 season. The contract is a hefty pay cut for the two time GM of the year, who makes 4.6 million dollars this season. His extension will peak at 1,5 million dollars per year, with the first yet netting the quiet GM a paisley 1.2 million dollars.

For more on the contract as well as quotes from the Maloofs and Petrie himself, resident local super hero Sam Amick of the Sacramento Bee has your article here.

Nice to see Nocioni having a good night this helping the Kings to win this game in the process. He has been well off the wall on recent games, but came alive when needed the most with a season high performance. Check out my match re-cap
