Yep – that stampede of footsteps you now hear is the national media starting to vulture around Tyreke Evans. The Western Conference Rookie Of The Month continues to earn praise from national media outlets and none bigger than ESPN who has decided to pick up the Kings-Wizards game on December 16th, at Arco. For those attending the game, it will be pushed back to a 7:30 PM start and for those not…and without league pass, enjoy the Kings first TRUE national broadcast game in quite a while. Not only that, it’s quite winnable for the youthful Kings…
Which brings me to the Kings upcoming schedule – it’s not easy. By no stretch is it a walk of death, but, for the Kings to come out of December above .500 is going to take some work. Tom Ziller of Sactown Royalty touches on this situation here. With the Christmas holiday smashed between the Cavs and Lakers, doubts are that it will be a very merry Christmas for the boys in black and purple.
But I’ll be keeping the faith…even if it kills me.
The Kings travel to Phoenix tonight to take on the Suns who are undefeated at home this year and will travel back to the friendly Arco walls where they’ll take on the Jermaine O’Neal-less Heat who will be missing the game due to a death/illness in his family.
