According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA has banned ex Sacramento Kings scout Jack Mai for betting on NBA games, which include Sacramento King games. Adrian reported via Twitter and on Yahoo NBA that the NBA has banned Mai from the NBA in any capacity after a year-long investigation revealed that Mai bet on NBA games. The NBA did not find any evidence that Mai used his position to influence any games however…or so they say, to save face.
Mai has informed the media he quit his job with the Kings earlier this year but the Kings organization is informing media outlets that he was fired. Sam Amick of the SacBee covered the odd situation here, late last season.
