Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee caught up with current Toronto Raptors and former Sacramento Kings guard Quincy Douby during the Vegas Summer League a few days ago, and Douby had a few things to get off his chest.
Most noteably, this:
“I learned more during one 10-day contract from coach Triano than I did during my three years with the Kings,” said Douby.
Oh. And this:
“I went through three coaches in three years there. With Toronto coach (Jay) Triano is showing faith in me, letting me play my game. I’m out here showing that I’m a player, and I’m going to continue to work and help the team in any way I can.”
Oh. Oh. Okay. Okay Quincy. I mean, for a second there, I thought Toronto attempted to trade you to the Memphis Grizzlies just a few days ago, but the Grizzlies didn’t even want you for salary purpose…which forced the Mavericks to take on another player they didn’t want. Wow. Sure glad that wasn’t the case. Glad to see the Raptors showing faith in you!
You go get that Summer League scoring title Quincy!
